American Dental Professional Services (ADPS) is a Third Party Administrator (TPA) dedicated solely to the dental market. We also offer our own family of Dental Programs and have contracted with dentists across the country to form a National Dental Network. In addition to serving ADPS Dental Program members our National Dental Networks (PPO and Discount) are available to insurance companies and self-funded employer groups and individuals. ADPS has also partnered with a National Discount Vision Program where members can receive a discount on eye exams and eyewear, a National Chiropractic network with savings on diagnostic and other services, a National Prescription Drug Discount Program for savings on generic and brand name drugs, and a National Hearing Services Network for discounts on hearing services and materials for our members. In addition to our Discount Program offerings, ADPS has fully Insured Dental Plans and Short Term Medical Insurance plans.

ADPS is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Dental Partners, Inc. a dental practice management company whose purpose is to become the leading business partner to dental group practices in the nation. It’s sole commitment and focus is to bring value to dental group practice.

Headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, American Dental Professional Services has a dedicated staff of Customer Service Representatives to serve our clients and members Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm Central Standard Time. A Network Development team continues to expand our Dental Network on a daily basis. Our Sales and Marketing team constantly expand membership in our Dental Programs along with promoting our TPA services.

Our History

American Dental Professional Services (ADPS) was founded in 1998 by bringing together two long standing dental Independent Practice Associations (IPAs) and adding full Third Party Administration (TPA) capabilities. The original IPAs were founded in 1981 and 1985 with a market focus in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Their mission was to develop a dental health care system that integrated dental insurance with the delivery of superior quality managed care.

The IPA relationships grew as DHMO, PPO and other alternate payment mechanism offerings grew in the marketplace. When the IPAs joined together to form ADPS, we looked at additional ways to serve the dental market. Systems and staff were added to manage full dental TPA functions along with the development of Dental Care Advantage, a low cost Dental Program and our National PPO and various Discount Networks.
